US closely following India’s reports on China’s troop disengagement

The US stated that it is closely monitoring the reports sent from India about the troop’s disengagement among the two countries; India & China. The State Department gave comments on Monday as the armies of the two countries, India and China commenced severance of army troops stuck in about eight-month-long confrontation in the areas of eastern Ladakh.

Both of the nations have now reached a state of mutual accord for the extrication of armies from the utmost controversial region of North and South Pangong Lake. A spokesperson from State Dept. told, “We are closely following reports of troop disengagement. We welcome the ongoing efforts to de-escalate the situation”. He also answered a question about force disengagement as, “We will, of course, continue to monitor the situation closely as both sides work towards a peaceful resolution”.

The border altercation amid the Indian and Chinese troops broke out on May 5 after a ferocious quarrel in the Pangong lake region and both sides little by little increased their force deployment by hastening in tens of thousands of soldiers along with heavy armaments though the two sides sustained military and political negotiations.

Military commandants from both the militaries retained the 10th round of discussions on the Chinese edge of the Moldo/Chushul border meeting point on February 20. A mutual proclamation was issued by the end of a lengthy round of negotiations and discussions. The proclamation said the two sides certainly assessed the velvety conclusion of disengagement of forefront forces in the region of Pangong Lake, observing that it was a substantial step further that provided a good foundation for the settlement of other lingering issues, along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Western Sector.

As per Price, “We’re continuing to monitor the situation. We certainly welcome the reports of de-escalation and we’re closely following those initial reports of troop disengagement”.
