RTPCR test needed for the international passengers

According to the latest guidelines for the Coronavirus released on Tuesday, all of the international flights’ passengers landing in Mumbai have to go under the RT-PCR Covid-19 test. The measure has been taken due to the rise in Coronavirus cases to 18000 fresh cases in the last 24 hours which is about 50% higher than Monday. The fresh rise in the count of cases in the city and the state of Maharashtra is known to be for the new variant omicron. The international passengers will leave only after taking the Covid test and if tested negative will have to stay under quarantine for a week.

India is currently struggling with the rise in the cases of new Covid variants in the country that has spread in over twenty states. The count of Omicron variants in the nation has reached 1892 cases as per the Health Ministry. Presently there is almost no district where the number of cases is more than 1000 and there are gyms, hotels, spas, banquet halls, and other public places opened. If there is any chance to open a public place, it has to be done with 50% capacity only. January 6 onwards, there will be no event where there will be more than 100 people if it is in a closed hall. If the event is organized in an open area, only 50% capacity of the area is allowed.

As per the order released by the government on January 4’ 2022, all the schools in the districts of Uttar Pradesh will remain closed for students up to class 10. Currently, there are no districts in UP, where there are more covid-19 infections than 1000, the state has recorded a count of 992. Gautam Buddha Nagar and Ghaziabad are the two UP districts with the highest number of cases.
