Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal’s government declared Yellow Alert in the state due to the increasing number of Covid cases under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) with immediate effect. There has been a significant increase in the cases of coronavirus, especially for the delta and omicron variants. The alert includes multiple restrictions like night curfew (10 pm – 5 am), schools remain close, shops with non-essential items will open on an even-odd basis and metro will run with 50% seating and no standing. Health experts have suggested arranging over 12,000 ICU beds available, enough oxygen cylinders, medicines, and ambulances ready in case of emergency situations.
