Elon Musk has recently bought Twitter and is now announcing some big decisions regarding the changes in the platform. But, it looks like this all is costing a lot of employees. Some Twitter engineers have been asked to devote 12 hours a day and seven days a week to their work, according to information from the sources. The managers employed at Twitter told employees to work extra hours to meet the tight deadline defined by Elon Musk for changes.

“Managers at Twitter have instructed some employees to work 12-hour shifts, seven days a week, in order to hit Musk’s aggressive deadlines” according to internal sources. The employees have been solicited to work extra hours without discussing “overtime pay or comp time, or about job security.” The engineers are given a cut-off date of early November and if they fail to fulfill they might lose their job.

“Task completion by the early November deadline is a make-or-break matter for their careers at Twitter,” the report shared. It is being determined that Elon Musk is menacing people for the 50 percent layoffs to force them to comply with his order.

Big Twitter Change says to Pay $8 and gets Blue Tick to your Account

The latest news on Twitter is the change it is bringing to its “Twitter’s verification system”. Instead of offering a ‘blue tick’ to the users having active and notable accounts, i.e. ‘lords & peasants system’ according to Musk, the tick will be available only to the “Twitter Blue subscribers” at the cost of $8 per month.

That’s not all; Blue members will get more benefits. This includes the elimination of half the ads but not a completely ad-free experience and tweet replies, mentions, and search priority. Blue members will be able to post lengthy videos and audio to attract more creators to the subscription. Twitter Blue rates can vary in different regions and the price will adjust by country “proportionate to purchasing power parity”. This suggests that the price for a monthly membership in India may be less than $8 (about Rs 661).
