Recently on Republic Day i.e. 26th January 2020, Narendra Modi has awarded a young software developer named Harshita Arora with Bal Shakti Puraskar 2020. She is being awarded for developing cryptocurrency price tracking app. It’s portfolio management and price tracking app for cryptocurrencies. Though, this innovation has knocked amid an ongoing battle in India. Currently, the government is deliberating over this issue i.e. whether to ban or regulate cryptocurrency in the country.
Modi Tweeted-“I am delighted that the very talented Harshita Arora has been conferred the Bal Shakti Puraskar 2020! She has been focussing on a wide range of sectors. Her passion towards science, technology and human welfare are clearly visible”.
“Whenever I hear about such courageous work of all you young comrades, talk to you, I also get inspiration and energy,” Modi said.
Who is Harshita Arora?
Harshita Arora is born on October 2, 2001 in Saharanpur, and created an app to safeguard investors from scammers. Including this, she worked on “Food AI” application that identifies food in pictures and other named “CellCount” that help biologists to count cells in the microscope images.
She has explained how the portfolio management feature in her app got a lot of positive feedbacks from the crypto community plus thousands of downloads in just the 24 hours of its launch.
Even, it was trending with #2 app in the Finance category of the App Store.
The app can be downloaded from the Apple app store except for the United States.
