With the last 5 days of the political upheaval in Maharashtra, tomorrow will be an important day for the state. The Supreme Court will give a verdict on the petition of opposition parties (Shiv Sena, NCP-Congress). The results will be released on tomorrow at 5.30 PM. In Maharashtra, with the support of NCP leader Ajit Pawar, whether or not the chair of Devendra Fadnavis, who will become the chief minister, will be decided by 5 pm on Wednesday. Supreme court has ordered Fadnavis government to prove his majority in Assembly on tomorrow. In addition this, the court said that the power testing process will be completed under the supervision of a Protem Speaker. They have stated clearly that there will be no secret ballot and live telecast of the floor test.

  • Ajit Pawar has resigned from the post of Deputy Chief Minister after the Supreme Court’s After hearing the Supreme Court’s decision on government’s decision Ajit Pawar has resigned from his Deputy Chief Minister post. Though, it’s not confirmed officially. A three-member bench of Justice NV Raman, Justice Ashok Bhushan and Justice Sanjiv Khanna said that this is necessary to avoid the sale of MLAs. The bench asked Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari to appoint a temporary president and ensure that all the elected representatives take oath on Wednesday itself.

  • Three NCP MLAs who had been missing since Ajit Pawar’s swearing in returned to Mumbai on Monday morning. It is being said that he stayed in a hotel in Gurugram. These include MLAs Daulat Daroda, Nitin Pawar and Anil Patil. Sonia Duhan NCP unit student alleges that the legislators were held hostage in the hotel. She arrived here with some NCP Youth Congress leaders and rescued them and sent them to Mumbai. According to Sonia, 150 workers, including the PA of Haryana Chief Minister, were deployed under their protection.

Sources said that the three major parties are awaiting the decision of the Supreme Court. Shiv Sena, Congress-NCP leaders can meet once again to prepare for the post-verdict conditions. It is believed that the floor test may be done in the state soon. Therefore, the three opposition parties have not sent their MLAs out of Mumbai.

Ajit Pawar appeared on Twitter about 30 hours after becoming Deputy Chief Minister on Sunday. In one tweet after another, he thanked many big BJP leaders including Prime Minister Modi. He has posted his status as Deputy Chief Minister on Twitter. Ajit said in a tweet- “I will remain in NCP and Sharad Pawar is our leader”. He also said that the BJP-NCP alliance will give a stable government in Maharashtra.

However, a tweet by NCP chief Sharad Pawar came just after this tweet. In this, he wrote – There is no question of alliance with BJP. The NCP has decided to form a coalition with the Shiv Sena and the Congress to form a government unanimously. He further said that Ajit Pawar’s statement is wrong and confusing. He wants to create a misconception among people.

Jayant’s Appeal – Return

Soon after Pawar’s tweet, Jayant Patil, who was elected the new leader of NCP Legislature Party, also tweeted and appealed to Ajit Pawar to return home. He tweeted in Marathi, which meant- come back respecting Sharad Pawar’s decision.

We have the support of 50 MLAs: NCP

Late Sunday evening, NCP leader Nawab Malik claimed that we have the support of 50 MLAs. But 4 MLAs have been kept by BJP people somewhere. Those four are in contact and will definitely get back to us.

NCP MLA shifts to another hotel

Due to Ajit Pawar’s attitude, NCP shifted all its MLAs from Hotel Renaissance to Hyatt. NCP leader Jitendra Awhad alleged that the policemen in the hotel were roaming in plain uniform. He caught three such policemen. He expressed suspicion that policemen are sharing our conversations with BJP leaders. Congress leader Ashok Chavan also alleged that BJP leaders have booked rooms in hotels to break our MLAs. But, our MLAs are united.
