Previously,  in response of the first sent notice, Saad has submitted to the Delhi police some documents and other information by his lawyer Ayyubi.

Saad mentioned, “The investigating officer has sought some information in the second notice. We filed our reply to most of the questions and told them that for some questions, we need time. We could not get some of the records they have sought because of the lockdown. They have asked for some clarifications in the second notice”.

An FIR has been filed against Saad under the section of The Epidemic and Disaster Management Act,  1897 along with the charges of criminal conspiracy. After the evacuation of 2400 people whereas 250 were foreigners, the roads to the Markaz have been barricaded. The all nomads have been sent either to the quarantine centers or to the hospitals.

Saad was accused by the Delhi police for not listening to the government’s order sent to him on 13th and 16th March for banning such congregations and gathering of more than 200 people. Despite the orders sent to him,  the Markaz was having assembly of more than 2000 people.

The police has askedhim for the information like his full name, address and registration details of the organization’s details of office bearers, details of persons in Markaz committee and details of Income Tax returns filed by the organization in last three years.

Maulana Saad has told the assembly that there is no need to follow the advice of the doctors and to pursue social distancing or quarantine. A team of investigating officers along with the forensic experts also visited the Markaz but they found no electronic devices there.

Maulana informed to the police about him doing self quarantine and also shared his address. The Maulana’s lawyer Shahid Ali stated that they had submitted only some information to the police and asked for more time as the  Markaz is closed and lockdown is prevailing.
