Reason to celebrate Dev Deepawali
It is believed that Kartik Purnima is celebrated on be the Deepavali of divinities. To celebrate the day, even deities are believed to descend from paradise in concealed identities on the holy Ganges ghats to ensure the sanctification of the devotees who are part of the Maha Aarti. The festival is an eminent part of Kashi’s ancient culture and is even mentioned in the Hindu holy scripture Shiva Purana.
