The district administration has launched a special drive, which will be started from today against those people who do not wear facemasks in the district while going out of their homes. The SSP has issued orders to all the jurisdictional and police in-charge. Said that there should be invoices for not applying three times more masks. For not wearing a mask for the first time, a fine of Rs 100 and Rs 500 should be imposed.
The campaign will be carried out differently on an area basis focusing on the localities having a high number of Covid-19 cases like Vaishali, Indirapuram, and Sahibabad. The DM (District Magistrate) has divided the officials into teams to check that rules are properly followed. There will also be a mask distribution program for the law breakers. The DM said, “District magistrate Ajay Shankar Pandey said, “For the past few days, coronavirus cases in the district have increased again. The campaign would continue daily from Wednesday”.
Commissioner Anita C Meshram has directed to take strict actions against those who violate the Protocols meant for Coronavirus in terms of the growing infection in the district. Later to this, SSP Kalanidhi Naithani has ordered all CO (circle officer) and police in-charge to begin their special operations in their area. The SSP has stated that there are 150 checking points in the district under the A, B, C scheme. Special attention should be paid to all with masks. The number of challans being done daily with the mask should be three times the fine. No person should be left without a mask. Also, motivate people to apply masks. Explain to them that they must apply masks while leaving their house. The safety of others lies within their own safety.
On Monday, Indirapuram reported 22 Covid-19 cases, eight were from Sahibabad, four were in Kaushambi, and nine cases from Vijay Nagar, and 26 more were reported from Kavi Nagar.
