Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a press conference in Varanasi addressed the growing debate offered by the increase in the number of ‘black fungus’ cases in different areas of the country.hr added to his statement, “In our ongoing fight against Covid-19, a new challenge of Black fungus has surfaced. We must focus on taking precaution and preparation to deal with it”. Delhi has by far recorded 197 cases due to ‘black fungus’ disease in most of the private and government hospitals, as informed by Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain. India has reported 2,59,551 new Covid-19 cases and over 4,209 deaths on Thursday. Tamil Nadu has encountered the highest number of latest cases, i.e. 35,571, to the country’s daily increase in caseload, while Kerala becomes the second-highest contributor with 30,491 new cases.
