Missing calls in the smartphone is a major problem of every 8 people out of 10. Well, you also have the option to call back later. Despite this, the loss can be caused if the necessary calls are missed several times and such situation bothers all the users. If you have put your phone on silent mode then it’s a different case, but if your devices suddenly stop ringing, then it is a problem. The worst and common reason behind this is physical damage or malware infection.
However, users miss the calls due to silent mode, airplane mode, call forwarding or do-not-disturb, but there may be a third-party app other than this. If the phone is not ringing then the below-mentioned tips will be helpful for you.
Get rid of this problem with the following tips:
- Check the volume settings- All the smartphones mainly have four slides of volume which are media volume, call volume, ring volume, and alarm volumes. You have to adjust the ring volume and increase it. When you receive a call from the call volume then the volume is less or more. Are you listening to the rest of the songs or voices from the speaker? You can also check it by changing the ringtone. If you are using third party ringtones, then look at the built-in option too.
- Check the airplane mode- Also, check that the airplane mode in your device is not turned on. In the airplane mode, nobody can call you or drop even text message. You can check it in Quick Settings by swiping downwards on your device. Apart from this, you can also go to Settings> Network & Internet> Airplane Mode.
- Disable Do-Not-Disturb- Check, whether a DND is enabled in your device. If it’s enabled, then disable it because in that event, apart from the incoming calls, you will not also get any notifications. According to the settings, many a time it gets turned on automatically. You can check this by going to Settings> Sounds> Do not Disturb.
- Turn-off the call forwarding- Do a check on your device that the incoming calls on your device are not getting forwarded to a third party calling app such as Skype. The old models of devices have call forwarding settings. In the new models, you have to go to app settings.
- Scan malware- Sometimes the device doesn’t ring due to the malware infection. In such cases, you can detect and remove malicious apps with an app called ‘Malware Bytes’. There are many such types of app are available in the Google Playstore and Apple Store as well.
- Restart device- Reboot your device. The easiest and common method which work many times and resolves the problem as well and that too without any reason.
- Factory reset- If nothing works, then factory reset your device. This is also called master reset and it works always. But before doing this make sure that you have taken the back-up of all your data. After doing this, a device starts working on a completely new setup.
