A prominent Indian leader and Former Minister of External Affairs (26 May 2014 – 30 May 2019), Sushma Swaraj (born on 14 February 1952) took her last breath yesterday i.e. 6th August 2019 in AIMS hospital. She was diagnosed with a cardiac arrest and admitted in the hospital on Tuesday. Even due to her kidney transplant, she had not participated in the Lok Sabha Election of 2019. Today she was cremated with full honour at Lodhi Crematorium, Delhi.
This great personality held the office of Cabinet Minister of Haryana at just a young age of 25 and became the youngest cabinet minister of India. She has also been the core member of Bhartiya Janta Party. She was also “best-loved politician” given by the US daily Wall Street Journal.
Including this, she has also registered her name twice in the Limca Book of Records for her great achievements and next time with her husband for the ‘Most Distinguished Couple’.

Sushma Swaraj was the senior leader of BJP and served the role of Minister of External Affairs (26 May 2014 – 30 May 2019) in the first tenure of PM Modi. Her sudden death is not less than any loss for the party, country and even world as well. PM Modi expressed her grief on his tweet today. He wrote.

Sushma’s Distinctions and records
In 1977, Sushma became the first Indian youngest Cabinet Minister in Haryana’s Govt. at just an age of 25. Later on, in 1979, she became the president and first female spokesperson of the national party named Janta Party. There are many firsts in her life on the path of female achievements as she was BJP’s first female Chief Minister, Union Cabinet Minister, General Secretary, Spokesperson, Leader of Opposition and Minister of External Affairs.
Including this, she has become India’s first female MP who honoured with the Outstanding Parliamentarian Award. She has also been the President of the Hindi Sahitya Sammelan in Haryana.
Recently on 19 February 2019, she has been awarded the prestigious Grand Cross of Order of Civil Merit. The award was conferred by Spanish Govt. in the recognition of India’s support for its citizens in Nepal. The citizens of India were evacuated from Nepal to India in 2015 due to the earthquake.
