PM Modi has officially announced through his Twitter account of quitting social media accounts. According to the tweet, he will give away his all social media accounts on this Women’s Day to women “whose life and work inspire us”.
International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8.
He tweeted: “This Women’s Day, I will give away my social media accounts to women whose life & work inspire us. This will help them ignite motivation in millions. Are you such a woman or do you know such inspiring women? Share such stories using #SheInspiresUs.
Even, he shared an image to show how any woman is interested in taking over his social media accounts for that day, could do so.
Though on 2nd March in his cryptic tweet, he mentioned his thought of giving up his social media accounts on the platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.
It was interpreted by many as the PM is quitting from all the social media accounts altogether. In about just an hour, his tweet had been retweeted over 26,000 times, with the people’s comments pouring in almost every second.
Within the minutes, the people’s reaction with ‘No Sir’ had been started trending on the Twitter varied from the shock to confusion. Many people urged him to change his decision and don’t quit social media accounts.
