After the signing up of a contract by the Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation with Ukraine for starting the special international passenger flights among the two pueblos, Indian citizens have now reach 13 more countries by air. This “Air travel agreement” objects to reboot business passenger services as other regular international flights were canceled for some time due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This bi-lateral air bubble setup has been made with the 13 countries named as – Maldives, Canada, France, Germany, Iraq, U.K., Bahrain, Afghanistan, USA, Nigeria, Qatar, UAE, and Japan.
Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation tweeted, “Air Bubbles are in place with 13 countries. Others are being finalized. In addition to existing countries, people can also fly between India & Afghanistan, Bahrain, Canada, France, Germany, Iraq, Maldives, Nigeria & Qatar. Carriers of India and these countries will operate”.
Bangladesh is also expecting to start international flights with India from 28th October. Based on the reports, over 5000 people can travel every week on these flights between Bangladesh and India.

Air bubbles refer to temporary reciprocal arrangements made between two countries allowing international passengers to fly without and restrictions. Such an arrangement is created among two countries comprehending each other for safe travel.
Who all can travel from India to Ukraine?
- Any Indian citizen with the legit Ukraine visa, diplomatic & official passports, and traveling to CIS countries excluding Russia.
- Citizens/inhabitants of CIS countries except Russia are allowed.
Who all can travel from Ukraine to India?
- Indian citizens from CIS countries excluding Russia.
- International Indian residents with a Ukrainian published passport.
Along with this, some flights are also going to be resumed under the “Vande Bharat mission” carrying isolated people from other countries to India.
