HTC has got a new patent that suggests the company would be working on foldable smartphones in the near future. As per the reports, HTC has filed a patent in 2019 with World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO) which actually got published in August 2020. This device would be folding to the back rather than to the front like Moto Razr 2019. It indicates the display will be on outside and will cover both the front and rear of the phone when folded. The design can somewhat look alike Huawei Mate X and Mate Xs.
Along with looking attractive, it will also have more chances of getting damaged and scratches on the surface. The patent published has descriptions focusing on the mechanism device would work inspite of focusing the device.
The news of the device signifies that HTC is gearing up to make a comeback in the Smartphone market. Thus the new design would be bringing attention back to the company.
