Chandrayaan-2 – Countdown Begin For India’s Moon Mission, set to launch today at 2.43 pm

20 Hour countdown for India’s moon mission began at yesterday evening Sunday on 6.43 PM and the lift-off is scheduled today at 2.43 PM. Now, the scientists of ISRO (Indian Research Space Organisation) have launched Chandrayaan 2 to the moon successfully.

It’s India’s first explanatory mission to the moon. We will also tell you that India is the fourth country in the world after the USA, China and Russia which will land on the lunar space of the moon. Earlier, it was scheduled on 15th July but due to one technical snag, it was postponed to 22nd July. The technical snag was a sudden drop in the pressure-filled with helium gas. For this ISRO chairman K Sivan said to the news agency PTI “Whatever technical snag we observed on July 15 has been rectified. The vehicle is in good health… The (pre-launch) rehearsal has been successfully completed,”

Well, Chandrayaan 2 consists of three modules called Orbiter, Lander and Rover. This Lander named is named after the Vikram Sarabhai and Rover is a six-wheeled solar-powered vehicle called Pragyaan (wisdom).
