Indian Navy Day is celebrated every year on December 4 to honor the attack on the Karachi port during the times of the India-Pakistan war in 1971. On this day, the Indian Navy’s attack on the Karachi dock contributed to the eventual triumph of the Indian Armed Forces over Pakistan.

This year the theme on India Navy Day is “Indian Navy Combat Ready, Credible and Cohesive”.
The Indian Navy also shared a tweet this time on Twitter stating the significance of being observant around the clock 24*7.
