Shershaah is based on the real-life story of Param Vir Chakra-awardee army officer, directed by Vishnu Vardhan. The movie has Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani in the lead role-playing the part of Cap. Vikram and his lady love Dimple Cheema. The movie shows the life of Captain from his posting to the Indian Army till his death fighting Kargil War. The ending shows a heartbreaking scene when Dimple was distraught seeing the funeral of Vikram Batra in Palampur. Shershaah was the code of the battalion that was assigned to Cap. Batra on Kargil War and his signal for victory were “Yeh Dil Mange More” over the radio communication.
Sherni
Amit Masurkar’s directed movie Sherni shows the comprehensive research he had done into the subject of wildlife conservation and tiger killing. The movie exposed the unexceptional patriarchy with the storyline, the plot shows a female forest officer (Vidya Balan) working with integrity being surrounded by condescending men. Other major roles were played by Sharat Saxena, Vijay Raaz, Ila Arun, Brijendra Kala, Neeraj Kabi, and Mukul Chaddha. The movie is primarily based on the conflict between humans and wildlife. The movie was neither a disappointment nor living up to the expectation may be as the story was not as beautifully written as it could be, however, you will not get bored while watching it.

Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi starrer Chehre released in 2021 is a mystery thriller movie directed by “Rumy Jafery” under the production of Anand Pandit Motion Pictures and Saraswati Entertainment Private Limited. The movie shows famous stars like Krystle D’Souza, Alexx O’Nell, Siddhanth Kapoor, Annu Kapoor, Raghubir Yadav, Samir Soni, Dhritiman Chatterjee, and Rhea Chakraborty. The movie is based upon a famous German novel “A Dangerous Game by Friedrich Dürrenmatt”. The novel has already been created in the Marathi title “Shantata! Court Chaalu Aahe” in 1971and in Kannada as Male Nilluvavarege in 2015 and in Bengali as Anusandhan in 2021.
An 80-year-old man with his group of some friends plays a real-life courtroom game and conducts a mock trial to decide if justice is served and if not they make it served. An ad agency executive, come for shelter to them in the snowy area and snowstorm. Even though, he was comfortable at first but started feeling uneasy among those old friends. The game begins when ad agency executive Sameer started narrating his story and a new chapter comes up when they all insisted on him to play and then he became a prisoner in the house that in the end leads to the truth.
Thalaivii
Kangana Ranaut is the main reason to watch this movie based on the biopic of popular Tamil movie star-politician Jayalalitha. This is probably one of the best Bollywood movies by Kangana that deserves to be on the list. No one can deny the acting skills of Kangana and she set a benchmark by creating this movie in Hindi and Tamil. There are several reasons stating why Kangana was the perfect choice for the role as it was only her who could maintain dignity as well as vulnerability. The movie tells the story of a girl who bonds herself with magnetic actor-politician MGR (played by Arvind Swami) who takes on his cape to mortify MGR patriots. Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui
Bollywood is now taking its baby steps to create stories around the LGBTQ community and this movie is truly one of those steps. The movie shows Ayushmann Khurana (Manu) a passionate gym trainer with a bunch of gym freak friends and a nosy family. The journey begins when Vaani Kapoor enters the scene as Zumba trainer Manvi takes classes in his gym. Sparks got ignited a little faster and things got spiced up between them a real fast. The movie took a turn when Manvi told Manu that she is a trans woman. Knowing this, Manu goes through different crises understanding and teaching about the challenges Manvi had to face in her journey from boy to girl. The movie spread awareness about trans issues as well as shows stereotypical ideas about the unexpected identity. It would be amazing to see more movies like this coming up in the future.
Kaagaz
Kaagaz is a movie starring Pankaj Tripathi representing an exceptional plot. This is one of the best movies of the era in Indian cinema written and directed by Satish Kaushik.
