14th February is celebrated as Valentine’s Day all over the world but for India, it is a Black Day, because of the “Pulwama Attacks” that took place in 2019. This was one of the most brutal and deadliest attacks held on the Indian Army when 40 of our brave CRPF soldiers lost their lives. India will never forget this fateful day when it lost the heroes of its motherland. To remember the sacrifices of the soldiers, a memorial was organized within a CRPF camp near the place. It was a place where suicide bomber Adeel Ahmed Dar from Jaish-e-Mohammad, drove a car loaded with explosives and blast himself next to the convoy of CRPF leading to the slaughter of 40 Bravehearts.
Very soon after the attack, the organization Jaish-e-Mohammad took the responsibility for the attack by posting a video made by the suicide bomber Adeel.

A few days later the deadly attack was carried out on India’s security forces, and India’s defense forces conducted a counter-terror airstrike. On February 26, 2019, several Indian Air Force jets bombarded the terrorist camps of Jaish in Balakot, where the personnel killed around 500 terrorists.
After the airstrike was done in Balakot, Pakistan Air Force tried retaliating by doing a strike on Indian military installations in Jammu and Kashmir, an attempt which was stymied by the IAF. During the conflict, Pakistan forces shot down and capture India’s Wing Commander Abhinanadan Varthaman. It’s been 4 years of the horrors of the Pulwama attack and February 14 is still remembered as a ‘black day’, in memory of the CRPF personnel that lost their lives in the attack.
