BJP Party has won the competition once more, whereas the Samajwadi Party has given the tough competition in Uttar Pradesh’s assembly election for 2022. The Yogi Adityanath led BJP government in UP is all set to become Chief Minister of the state once again. Yogi Adityanath said that the people of Uttar Pradesh have rejected “misleading propaganda and made the BJP victorious”. He further added, “BJPs’ model of development, vikas, and good governance has been successful in UP and its population of over 250 million people (25 crore people). This along with the fact that BJP takes power over all sections of society. We believe in Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwaas. The people have seen this and trusted us once again. They have taken a stand to defeat ‘parivaarvaad’, ‘vanshwaad’, mafia-waad “. Party is heading towards a big win this time and is leading the mark of 260+ seats and is clearly ahead of Samajwadi Party, and Indian National Congress. Another party that is leading, Samajwadi Party led by Akhilesh Yadav has gained 132 seats of the state.
The counting of votes for the exit poll was started early in the morning by 8 am with the postal votes and counting of votes through EVM was started by 8:30 am. Other than UP, there are other few states including Punjab and Uttarakhand where votes are being calculated. The victory of the BJP party on Thursday’s exit poll has led the party in a stronger position for the election of President that will be held later this year. This victory has given the Prime Minister a clear chance to decide the next President once Ram Nath Kovind completes his tenure in July 2022.
Other parties such as Mayawati-led BSP and Rahul Gandhi’s Congress have become negligible now due to winning just 1 and 2 seats respectively in the state.
