We are heading towards the end of this sad year 2020 that has stolen a lot from all of us. It has given us sorrow, illness, low economy, and all bad things that none of us would ever want to remember. We all somewhere believe that we have lost many things. This pandemic hasn’t only taken away our money, jobs, and hopes but our favorite people and our near or dear ones.

People have to bear the loss of so many famous personalities that were the pride of our country.

Sushant Singh Rajput

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput, a highly talented actor died by committing suicide in his flat on 14th June this year. He started his career with famous TV serials of that era named “Kis Desh Me Hai Mera Dil”, “Pavitra Rishta”, and later he debuted his Bollywood career with his first film “Kai Po Che”. He even did several amazing movies including “Detective Vyomkesh Baksi”, “MS Dhoni: The Untold Story”. The last movie of his life was “Chichore” and “Dil Bechara”.

Wajid Khan

Wajid Khan, one of the famous music composers, died at the age of 42 on 1st June. Singer Sonu Nigam verified the news of his death. The news came out with his social media post, “My brother Wajid left us.” Wajid’s family in an official statement had said the cardiac arrest was the cause of his death. Sajid-Wajid made their Bollywood debut with Salman Khan’s movie “Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya”. Later that, they went on giving several chartbusters for various films of Salman Khan.

Rishi Kapoor

Rishi Kapoor one of the veteran Bollywood actors passed away in Mumbai on April 30 due to leukemia. The actor returned to India in September 2019 after undergoing a cure in the US for over a year. In February 2020 Rishi Kapoor was admitted to hospital twice due to his health concerns. Rishi Kapoor was the second son of actor Raj Kapoor and grandson of Prithviraj Kapoor. He started his career as a child artist in “Mera Naam Joker” for which he received the National Award. His first film as an adult was “Bobby” in 1973.

Irfan Khan

Renowned actor Irfan Khan took his last breath on April 29, 2020 in Mumbai. He was ill for a long time and a week before his demise; he was sent to Kokilaben Hospital when he was diagnosed with colon contagion. Irrfan was well known for his remarkable acting and was called “India’s face in the West”. His career was progressively advancing and he delivered numerous outstanding roles in movies like “The Life of Pi”, “The Lunchbox”, “Piku”, “Paan Singh Tomar”, The Namesake, and “Hindi Medium” among others. His last film was Angrezi Medium, earlier to which he shared a powerful video message for fans, mentioning that the only choice with him was to stay positive.

Pranab Mukherjee

Pranab Mukherjee, former Indian President passed away on 31st August 2020. He entered politics when he won the Rajya Sabha’s seat of Indian Parliament by being a member of the Bangla Congress which was later merged with the Congress Party. He died after a brain surgery that sent him into a coma and suffering from septic shock because of lung infection. He wrote several great books like “Beyond Survival: Emerging Dimensions of Indian Economy” (1984) and “Challenges Before the Nation” (1993). He was also recognized with Bharat Ratna in 2019.

Sejal Sharma

Sejal Sharma who was performing the role of “Simmi Khosla” in Star Plus TV show “Dil To Happy Hai Ji” was reported dead due to committing suicide on January 24. She was also noticed in other renowned serials including “Laal Ishq” on & TV and “Zindagi U” on Zing. She also did a web series titled “Azad Parinde”. Her friends told that she was going through depression because her serial Dil To Happy Hai Ji ended a few months before and she was struggling to get some work.

Veteran Hindi Comedian, actor Jagdeep passed away on 9th July at the age of 81 years. People remembered him the most for his famous character “Soorma Bhopali” in the chartbuster movie “Sholay” starring Dharmendra and Amitabh Bachchan. Even if he is gone, people will always remember him for his commendable acting. He has also appeared in horror movies of his era including “Purana Mandir” and “3D Saamri”. His movies as a child artist include “Do Bigha Zameen”, “Aar Paar”, “Munna”, and “Ab Dilli Dur Nahin”.
