Hyderabad encountered the incessant rainfall ever in October on Tuesday. Telangana faced life loss of more than 19 people so far on Tuesday and lightning has caused several disasters in the state and capital.
The Met Dept. had declared a yellow alert for Hyderabad on Wednesday whereas the state government declared a holiday for Wednesday and Thursday for all the schools, private institutes, offices, within the area of the outer ring road. People are also advised to stay in their homes, as there is a high risk of severe damage.
As per the reports, 30 people have been reported dead from Telangana and 15 from Hyderabad. Heavy rainfall started again later on Wednesday night. PM Modi spoke to Telangana’s CM Chandrashekar Rao and Andhra’s CM Jaganmohan Reddy about the situation. He also assured them of providing all the needed support.
According to a news agency, a horrifying visual was noticed among the situation when a man swept away by the flood. But, the local people rescued him safely with the help of police officers.
A 49-year-old man who owns a naturopathy clinic got electrocuted while he was trying to remove the waterlogged in his home’s basement. More than 5 people have been reported missing and police are searching for them. Govt. has already been called NDRF and Army personals to help in the rescue operation.
The Army officers have done the rescue operation in the Bandlaguda area and evacuated over 1000 people from the areas of Hyderabad and Rangareddy district.
Weather forecasts have helped people to get some relief showing “nil” warning and rain with a “light to moderate” level at few expected places. And there are also some thunderstorm warnings for this weekend.
Andhra Pradesh CM’s office reported, 10 people had died of the heavy rains in the last two days of heavy rainfall and severe damage has been caused to roads and power supply is also disrupted.
