As the Indian government has put a ban on 118 more Chinese apps including the most played game PUBG by 70% of the Indian population, China getting disturbed said on Thursday, the decision of India to ban apps is neither in the favor of China’s business not to the Indian users and also stated it is violating the rules of WTO. Responding to a question on the Chinese apps ban spokesman Gao Feng said, “The Indian side abused the concept of national security and adopted discriminatory restrictive measures against Chinese companies violating relevant World Trade Organization (WTO) rules. China urges India to rectify its wrong practices that have been made.” At a briefing of Chinese foreign ministry Hua Chunying, a spokesperson said “By banning the hi-tech popular and easy to access applications, India is sacrificing the first and foremost rights and interests of Indian users and damaging the Chinese companies. Therefore, it was no gain from such action.”
She also stated that India and China are one of the ancient civilizations having a uniquely splendid culture and the exchange that was going among both sides was continued from thousands and thousands of years, referring to the Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore and also referred to his famous poetry “we misread the world”.
The chines mobile apps that were imposed ban include the following – Baidu, FaceU, Tencent Watchlist, WeChat, Cut Cut, APUS Security, ShareSave by Xiaomi, CamCard, Alipay, PUBG mobile, and many other popularly used apps.
