Patiala Court has released the death warrant against the convicts of Nirbhaya gang-rape held on 16 December 2012. That day was not less than any nightmare for the country when a 23-year-old paramedic student Jyoti Singh had become the victim of the nation’s monster. Patiala Court has released the death warrant against the convicts named Mukesh Singh(32), Pawan Gupta(25), Vinay Sharma (26), and Akshay Kumar Singh (31) will be hanged on 22nd January 2020 at 7.00 AM.
As the judge announced the verdict, the courtroom was packed with extreme emotions. Parents of Nibhaya and convicts started crying.
The convicts are given 14 days to use their final legal options. They will be kept in separate cells in solitary confinement and their family members are allowed to meet them once and last before their death day i.e. 22nd January 2020.
