World’s top technological firm, Google has banned its ten products and services in 2019. Its products and services are used by millions in their mobile devices and desktops. The most used platforms are Gmail, search engine and YouTube. Due to the lack of customer’s engagement and good response, the company has decided to shut down its many products and services. There are many in the list which were being used for many years and few of them just launched.
In 2019, Google has discontinued its exact 10 products and services.
Here are the names, so let’s jump into these once:
Google +- The social site Google+ has been closed completely this year. This social networking site lasted for up to 8 years.
Google Allo – The company’s Internet-based text messaging app Google Allo has also been shut down. It was also rebranded as Google Chat. It was available on the android, iOS and web platform with different features like Virtual Assistant and Encrypted Mode.
Inbox by Gmail- This application contains many similar features like Gmail. It has remained active in the market for four years.
YouTube Gaming- An official app of YouTube lets the users broadcast live videos and video streaming of other users. It was launched four years ago and get closed this year.
Google URL Shortner- It was being used for shortening the URL. It was one of the oldest product closed that was discontinued this year. It’s been in the market from 9 years.
YouTube Messages- Apart from the gaming service, YouTube has also shut down its YouTube Messaging feature. It’s one of the latest services launched two years ago. The users used it to share videos and send direct messages.
Areo- Google’s areo app helped the users to order food or book a table for themselves in the restaurant. It has been shut down too.
Chromecast Audio- Google’s hardware product Chromecast audio has been also discontinued this year. With its help users stream audio from any device to the speaker.
Google Trips- The app used to help travel enthusiasts in planning their trip. In it, users had the facility of booking hotels, cars, flights and restaurant. The three-year-old service has also been discontinued.
Data Saver Extension- After the four years of service Google has closed its data saver extension that was used specifically for the Google Chrome browser. This allows users to browse the web without consuming excess data.
