Today i.e. 27th September 2019, Google has completed its 21 years in the world. The tech giants posted a throwback image featuring doddle. At 21, it has grown up as the kingdom of the web world and left many top competitors like Yahoo, Bing etc behind in the race. The doddle reminds us of the day of computers used in 1998. In this span of 21 years, Google has come up with the number of innovations.
Though there is much confusion around that what’s the actual date of s birthday but from years it’s celebrated on 27th September.
Here is one update from Google:
21 years ago, two Stanford Ph.D. students, Sergey Brin and Lawrence (Larry) Page, published a paper about launching a prototype of a “large-scale search engine.”
“We chose our systems name, Google, because it is a common spelling of googol, or 10100 and fits well with our goal of building very large-scale search engines,” the students wrote.
Today, Google operates all over the world in over 100 languages, answering trillions of search queries each year.
The scale is large, to say the least.
Happy 21st Birthday, Google!
